WHAT IS YOUTUBE SHORTS?
While short and entertaining videos came into our lives with TikTok, it soon joined this train with the Reels feature on Instagram.
YouTube, on the other hand, joined this content format. It appeals to the younger generation, with Shorts.
YouTube Shorts are videos up to 60 seconds long and in vertical format. Shorts means “Short Videos” in Turkish.
There are also some songs that can be used for free to add to the content. In addition, with Shorts, users can slow down and speed up the recording speed of videos.
HOW TO USE?
First of all, since it is in the testing phase, not every user will be able to experience it. Here’s what you need to do to use the YouTube Shorts feature:
- In order to use the feature, you must first sign in to the mobile version of the YouTube app.
- Then you have to click on the + icon at the bottom of the application, that is, ‘Create’.
- Once the feature is released, you will see the ‘Create short video’ option here. After clicking this option, Shorts camera will appear in front of you.
- On the next screen, you can touch the red circle below to start recording.
- Then you can review your content in the preview section by saying ‘NEXT’ and add details to your content by saying ‘NEXT’ again.
- After completing all the steps, you need to press the ‘Upload’ part to finally upload the content.
Users can post vertical videos of maximum 60 seconds on YouTube with the #Shorts hashtag, regardless of the platform.
